My guess is i have a couple weeks to harvest. White pistils started 7-5 fifty-six days ago. 2 plants are Super Skunk (photos) which has some very fat buds, which is one of the reasons i chose was for high yield and i just miss tasting and smelling skunk weed. Even though there is little to no smell so far. Other 2 plants are Gold Leaf (photos) which does have a couple fatty’s right under the light, but the rest aren’t. But i chose GL because of the high THC. There is a very noticeable difference in bud size Super Skunk the fattest. Jacks 321 in coco has made it very easy with just a few hiccups. I also started 3 clones of the GL and was goanna reveg them and have another grow behind this one but i awaited to long little nugs started fast. I’m keeping them in coffee containers because i have no more space. But surprisingly there fatting up, hoping for a ounce out of them at least. So i need some back up advice to confirm my 2 week estimate. Please !

My trichomes are mostly cloudy from what i can tell ,sometimes I see a amber. I know i have a crowded mess in my canopy and air flow is crucial. So i’ve added fans blowing up thru it,kept my humidity from 45-50% and temps 67-81.
A lot of schools of thought here. But myself, i don’t cut except to open up for light to get to new growth, if leaves have issues, or if it becomes too dense for evaporation… all long as they have light and are not causing issues i see them as an asset. Others have different goals and a lot more experience.
If you all don’t mind me jumping in have the same question, with pics to show you. I am at Day 87 since seedlings popped up, Day 43 since flowering started. Getting close to shutting these girls down, but want to time my last week flush as best i can. This is my first grow. Can u take a look and provide thoughts on harvest time??? All your time is much appreciated, it really is.
By this stage I’ve typically taken the fan leaves that were blocking bud sites, and the fan leaves on the lower third as well as any branches that aren’t reaching the light.
That said, as the plant starts to consume her leaves I’ll let her do so until they are brown and crispy. I remove those to prevent dead leaf tissue that might harbor mold or invite pests.

HobbyDobby, thanks for the quick response. I did remove many leaves yesterday (I guess i uploaded a few-day old picture(s) of the plants. So they are more nude now. And yes, trim jail on the horizon, but that should be fun for me, on my first grow. Based on not really seeing any amber trichomes, but clear and milky, how do i know or estimate how many more days until i will actually harvest and start the drying process? I do want to water one last time without any nutes and clean things out, then go into a couple or so days of darkness, prior to cutting branches and drying. ANY THOUGHTS (from anyone that may know)… AGAIN, SO MUCH APPRECIATED…I HAVE GOTTEN THIS FAR WITH MUCH VALUABLE INPUT FROM YOU ALL…THANKS MUCH
Hey brother those are some great looking plants and at 43 which is 6 weeks and your girls are still building bud, wait until all those white pistols turn orange before worrying about tricomes, it takes at least 7 to 12 weeks of flower. Flush and dark period are bro science, neither are really beneficial, just wait until they stop building, patients my friend. @GrowLargeOrGoHome
Dennis62, my friend, thanks for your input. I gotta say this: many years ago i grew 2 plants outside as a simple fun thing to get some decent weed. This indoor growing is a whole nother level of fun. I am amazed just watching these girls grow and do what they do. My wife ain’t a fan, but even she is impressed with the process…and I am so excited every day to check on them and inspect them (I should say i am obsessed). And yes, trying to be patient. OK, i am in chill mode. I will let them do what they do, do my typical watering and watering with nutes, and watch those pistils as they turn to amber. APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT, BE WELL MY FRIEND…
Yes sir I hate seeing new growers harvest early, but its a awesome thing these weed plants, totally different than any other plant. Hey I have a 3 week old grow going on, but if you care to I have 10 of my last 17 grows here, just put dennis62 in search bar and you can see what I do. And yes I am obsessed also lol. Dennis I am starting to read your Grow #16. Very interesting. Will finish the whole thread later. Our AC went out 14 days ago and we have been struggling to get it fixed. Workers here today installing new one.
