How long after flowing do buds grow. I am growing ww auto?

They usually continue to grow through week 6 or 7. In the latter part of flowering they will bulk up and add quite a bit of weight. The last couple of weeks they cease growth as the plant focuses on ripening the flowers.

Is that 6 weeks of flowing or from the start of plant?

Once you see all of your tops of your plants look like little white puffballs start counting. At the end of the 8th week if not before, check your trichs.
