How late into the Growing process can or should you use Mold protector?

I purchased a set of grow protectors but am not sure how late into the growing process I should use it without changing the taste.

You always apply Nutrients up to the last 2 weeks of bloom. this allow plant to use stored nutrients, which improves the taste. You would flush the plants at this point. Most fan leaves will yellow and die off signifying that they are done, and plant is mature. :smile:

Welcome to the forum.

I wouldn’t spray anything on flower unless absolutely necessary. Use Capt. Jack’s Deadbug can be used to control bugs. Deadbug is safe to use on flowering plants.

The best way to protect against mold is to have adequate airflow and humidity. Hydrogen peroxide can be used if mold is present.

Midwest is correct.
Low humidity and keep the air moving.
Keep the branches from touching each other too. If you have to defoliate to get enough air flow do it judiciously and remove enough so air can circulate.

Then what’s the point most mold comes in budding did I waste my money

What are the instructions for the mold protector?
Not many of us have purchased them.
Does it list the ingredients?

The most common solution I see is to use a Peroxide Water mix.
Peroxide breaks down into just water and Hydrogen. H2O2 is the molecule.
The idea is once the bud is ready for harvest we dont want any chemicals or contaminates to be there.
So preventing the conditions that lead to mold is the best thing you can do.
