How dry is to dry

I had left some plants hanging while i was gone. 6 days ago i hung them in my drying tent. Upon returning this morning my moisture meter says the big buds are 3%. The rest of the smaller stuff wont even register. My question is have i ruined these 2 plants flower, or is there something i can do either before or after i take it off the main stalk? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all

in my experience you have passed the point of return…you can try and jar up with Boveda packs but I would not hope for much flavor at this point

If they are beyond smokable, you can always use them for edibles.

If you still have plants growing, snag several shade leaves and put in a container with your trimmed buds. Drop in a small hydrometer to monitor RH. You might have to change out the leaves once or twice depending on how dry they were. I just took a plant from 35% RH to 62% in two days using shade leaves. Holding good for a week now at 61% in a Grove bag.

Much appreciated as always. I will trim down what i can that doest crumble. If they get used for edibles. Is it necessary to still let it cure the full month. Or can it be decarbed now and turned into oil?

I am thinking curing is not going to do much for you since your trichs has almost dried up if your big buds were at 3%…I think most don’t use cured for their edibles …

Would this flower work for making bubble hash? Because i have wanted to try making some for awhilr now.

I think it would…I see a lot of growers saying they even use the trim for making their hash…

No need to cure. That is all about the taste, and smoothness.

What was the drying room temp and humidity? I find it hard to be over dry in only 6 days.

I was gone for 5 for the 6 days. Rough temp in the tent they were in was roughly 68 to 72 degrees with an rh% of around 40 to 50%. I didnt think they would be to dry either. But trust me, you dont need a meter to see this flower is way to dry. Its literally going to crumble when i goto take it off the stalks later today.

Make sure to do it in a Trim Bin or somewhere else that will make it easy to capture the trichs.

Temperature and humidity numbers are pretty good for 5 or 6 days try breaking a big bud apart.

@TeNNWisKeY you can definately make bubble hash out of what you have. Make sure to run it 3 or 4 times. My bro and i take our trimmings from the previous years harvests and freeze them until new years. New years day we make bubble hash

That will be some very potent stuff. Made out of buds not just trimmings

Wow it is definitely a labor intensive process. Only had enough ice to do about a qp of the too dry flower. Ill give it a few days to see what the weigh in comes out at. Got it drying on the mess sheet between a couple 5 gallon lids.

So this may have turned out to be a great accident. I tried a small piece of some the hash in my one hitter over some flower. Strength is definitely higher then any wax ive had from a dispensary.
