On autoflowers? Is your picture saying i could trim all those leaves below the red line? The one you show is the more open plant. If clearing out those lower leaves is what you’re saying then i could do the same to both plants? Or is there something specific about that plant suggests this work?
By removing the lower 1/3 of the plant you are essentially pushing all the energy from the lower bud sites “larf” that won’t amount to anything. Help with airflow as well direct energy to producing bigger buds. First time I did it it was nerve racking and just went all in. Full send. Turned out perfectly and and produced a massive plant. 1/4 pound off of it. There are so many methods that each grower uses and each works. You just have to find what works for you and go for it. Have fun with it.
Yes here is one of my auto flowers trimmed below that way … Here also is a picture of the under canopy left over. No leaves or nodes left at that level
