How do i test soil ph

How do most of you test soil ph and how often. As a side note im in a wheel chair so im looking for easy accurate way .

One of the best ways to test is a slurry test. 2 oz of ph 6.5 water and a tablespoon of soil, let sit 10 minutes then check ph

Does the soil need to be from near the roots like a small core sample and ty for info

as long as you dont disturb the roots but honestly i dont think it matters if from top or center, so id go with a nice tablespoon from middle of pot like by the base of plant where most of watering takes place and no problem glad i could help

Another way is to water your plants to runoff and then collect that water and test it @Rexx
