HLG discount? Dude?

I’m getting ready to purchase another hlg 260. Couple weeks back I seen talk about a discount using promo code “dude”. Does anyone know if this is still active or if there are other discounts? Thanks. Hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying the new year

Not sure if the code is active but they have a sale on the dual slate heat sink and dual boards for $185. You can pick up the driver from digikey for $45. So $230 for a standard 260 rspec is much better than a discount code.

Does that driver have a dimmer? Last time I got the 260 kit. About $350 last time. The deal for $185, does that come with the kit accessories as well? Connectors,wire, etc.? Thanks for the help👍 @BobbyDigital

That driver has a built in dimmer and also wiring for an external dimmer. It doesn’t come with the wiring or connectors but can be bought online or at Home Depot/ Lowe’s for pretty cheap.

So I’d have to buy the $185 deal from hlg, the driver from place you mentioned, and also all the accessories you listed from amazon? Do you really save that much? Hlg is $350 minus 15% ($52.50) so let’s say $300. I’ll save $70 if I can get everything for the $230. Or was it $230 plus the amazon accessories?

I bought my light components on black Friday 6@ hlg 288 R-Spec boards and heatsink just under $450.00 meanwell 600watt driver $189.00 total cost under $650.00 DIY HLG SCORPION RSPEC and I saved a lot of cash.

Also if you are a disabled Vet. If you have your disability rating paperwork or service connected ID. HLG gives discounts.

That doesn’t apply to me, but it’s freakin awesome that give discounts to vets. Wish all businesses would honor our service men and women with some sort of discount. IMO. :+1: for HLG
