NO fine white hairs…male.
Female pods are pointy. Male are round balls…in clusters. Ball clusters are obvious long before they burst open spewing millions of seed producing yellow pollen.
There is no question about whether or not it has female parts - It has GIANT buds, LoL. I have just never seen the calyx swollen like this - They look big enough to have seeds in them, but they are definitely empty. I have also never seen a seeded female in person either, so I don’t know what that would look like.
My plant has the exact same thing happening. I about shit a bro I when I saw them.
Calyxes. They’re the individual components of female flowers.
Any idea why they get super swollen on some plants, but not on others?
