Help with yellow fan leaves near the top

Hey guys let me start by saying I’m in the beginning of week 6 of flower. a few days ago I noticed a leaf looking a little pale. Now today it seams to be spreading rapidly. Growth seams to have stopped. I grow in a 3ga. Fabric pot with ff hf soil 75% and a coco Pete perlite mix 25%. I was feeding ff 6-4-4 liquid nutes and about two weeks ago slowly introduced Humboldts 0-7-5 while lowering the ff nutes. I raised lights yesterday 4”. I’m using 1 sf1000 and one Amazon 120w light. I had an under watering problem mid veg but other than that she’s been growing great and fast till now. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

She’s a little droopy because I missed yesterdays watering but she bounced back today. Still wondering if the lights were the issue or if I have lockout

Is this all she’s getting? She still needs nitrogen for the entire grow period. I’m seeing a little magnesium deficiency and possibly PH out of range :love_you_gesture:

This is your issue: like OG stated you still need N for a vibrant green plant.

I do 1 tsp of 7-4-4 and one tsp of 0-7-5. And usually a 1/2 tsp of epsom salt. I was feeding usually every 3 waterings. Ph of soil is 6.4. I do have hard water that I’ve been using the whole grow. Idk if that may be part of it. I figured I would start with the light and give it a few days and go from there. I usually let it wilt a bit before I water so it may be chronic under watering or I need to flush cuz I’m in lock out. My only 2 guesses at this point. Thanks for the reply I appreciate it.

I do still ad some 7-4-4 to it. But I do think I started weening it off to soon. But it’s more the upper fan leaves and not the bottom of the plant. From what I’ve read N deficiency would show lower fans first. I may be 100% wrong that was just my understanding. Thanks

One other thing I just read up on was I was supposed to flush with the ff line of nutes and never did. So now I’m really leaning towards a salt buildup

Are you following the makers feed schedule and testing your nutrient mix PPMs? :love_you_gesture:

:point_up_2: testing the run off PPMs will determine the feeding interval. You should feed at 1000 PPMs and a PH 6.5. When I grew in soil the only time I went water only was when the run off PPMs were 1300 or higher :love_you_gesture:

Easy to do a runoff test for PH and TDS…

I was following, up until I started mixing the two. I still kinda am following but a little different because I was getting slight tip burn so I backed off a little. The only thing I didn’t do was flush it which I just realized it needed to be. So that’s my next step. I don’t check my ppms I try not to water till runoff. But that’s my next part of growing I want to learn about. I have a ph pen so I just gotta do a little research.

I have a soil reader that reads 6.4. I’ve never done a slurry test before but I’m looking into it. Thanks

Most of these are worthless. You would be wise to acquire a decent PH meter and an inexpensive TDS meter. Apera makes a decent unit.

Sounds good I’ll look into it I appreciate it.

I bought this one in April and threw it in the trash in October because it wasn’t able to settle on a usable reliable value by then. It would alternate between reading for example, 1300, 1150, 980 and just keep cycling through three different numbers.

Comes in different colors, sometimes branded with another company logo (Vivosun) but it should be avoided as it is just a bit too cheap. I fully agree and endorse the apera ph meter.

I’ve had this one since maybe 2013 or so. Still works like a dream. I think price has gone up from maybe $10 to $16

I use a Hanna now and I have been pleased with it so far.

I’m assuming this is the meter you currently have.
