Help with canoeing leaves on seedlings

Greetings… .I’m new here and have a problem with my GG seedlings.

I hope I did this correctly…

**I used humidity domes and misted daily, so I think the problems are possibly (or probably operator error)
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What soil brand and type are you using?

Welcome to the community ! you may have your light to close. All of the seedlings look to have the same issue.

@DirtBug welcome to the community Look like light to close and next time don’t water the leaf

Using Happy frog with 20% perlite added…

My 600 watt turned down to 300…
Light is 36" above my babies…
Should I move it higher??

I used mh light for veg and when they were seedling mine were at 36" as well but I had a fan blowing which kept leaf temp from getting too hot. Do you have an infrared temp gun

Are you still using domes? If so I’d remove them. If it’s 73-75 degrees in the tent it’ll be much hotter under the domes, could be heat stress, those mh give off quite a bit of heat, add the domes and it might be to much for them. I haven’t grown with mh so I won’t advice on hanging distance, although based on the stems of your plants I don’t think they are getting to much light. No need to spray the plants anymore. Consider burying the stems a bit when you transplant.

I have an IR gun coming from Amazon today

Thermometers give space temp but for actual leaf temp ir works great mh and hps can make radiant heat. Does your arm get warm if you hold it where your plants are?

No, my arm feels cool…
I raised my light to 46", removed the domes and shut off my humidifier…
The RH was steady at 58%…
I’m thinking that I should put off transplanting them…??

Thanks for the Welcome…
Never misted before…
Humidity inside has been low around 40% so I thought I’d try it…Haha shame on me…

Thank You everyone for responding so quickly…:+1:
Wish I would have found this forem sooner.
Looking forward to learning more about this Amazing plant.

Okay…Just got this nifty IR gun from Amazon (can I mention them?)
Anyway my leaf temps range from 68.3-68.7°f
Isn’t that a little cold?

Have you seen this chart? Its very helpful for dialing in temp/ humidity for grow stages and optimizing grow

And this is good for getting lighting right

Very Cool :sunglasses:… Thank You:+1:

After looking at the VPD chart I am in the optimal zone…But
My canopy temps are 70°f with 55% RH
My leaf temps are 68°f
Are my temps a little low??
I usually run 75-77°f at canopy.

Mine in veg like the 80 degree area. I’m new to this so maybe someone smarter like @MidwestGuy @kellydans

Those temps and humidity should be fine.

Thank You…
I had heat stress issues and thought I’d raised my light a little too far…
Thanks Again
