Help no buds are growing only sugar leaves

Hey I’m 6weeks into flower using miracle gro soil and a cheap led light from amazon that said it was a 1000w but doubt it also using fox farm trio and I ph water between 6.1-6.5 But can’t understand why I have lots of sugar leaves with no buds

Hi! Welcome!

It sounds like you already know you got off to a suboptimal start. I’d ride it out, and let the flowers gain mass as it nears maturity.

What changes do you plan to make next run?

Lol I know I was being cheap it was my first grow and I wanted to make sure I could actually do it but upgrade lights and for soil thinking of switching to happy frog

If you make it to harvest, and you’re still unhappy with the proportion of flower to leaf, you can do an ice water hash or other extraction to get a fine product.

The high salts in the MG soil, along with the FF Trio, has elevated P and K numbers which shuts flower production off. Probably nothing you can do.

So might as well chop it down

I don’t think that’s what @Myfriendis410 is saying.

Plant is still growing but if you want a yield you need to invest in some tools to see what the soil layer is doing first. PH and TDS meters.

But I can’t transplant in different soil this late so once I figure out the ph of the soil what can I do to get some of the yield

You will flush with clean water until the runoff TDS falls below 1,800 ppm or so then supplement using your PH and TDS meter. The plant may not produce but a reset is your best option.

agree with them both, your buds will be better with a reset / flush and the bud may be best made into concentrates.

Thank all you guys for all the support

What is ice water hash? I’m in a similar situation where I have more sugar leaves then bud. Although I do have more bud then what this original poster had.

There are guides on YouTube.

How did your plant end up? I feel like I am in a similar situation. Little bud growth under all sugar leaves. I’m in week 10 and close to harvest.

@Sheinmykia26 see my post above? How did yours turn out in the end?
