Help me build a flower tent

Curious if anyone has a recipie for a LED flower tent? Getting ready to build a new tent… my budget is $1000 I’m looking for prob HLG quantum boards… I’m not sure if I should go 3x3 or 4x4… I saw some HLG kits on amazon but doesn’t look like they come with the frames to hold the boards… also I need my tent to be 6’ or less. Gonna run amended soil two autoflower at a time in a 3x3 or maybe 3 in a 4x4 I’m open to all suggestions… gonna need a new fan. And am thinking this time I will get the fan that has a built in humidity meter and switch… anyone have any experience with them? Good or bad??
Any advice is welcome… I’m in Maine thinking of going with coast of Maine soil with an additive for autoflower… anyone ever heard of or used recharge? I listen to the dude grows podcast and they push it a lot… again I’m open to all suggestions or advice… thanks in advance!!

I recently purchased ac infinity T6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074XBXFPD?tag=ilovegrowingm-20
When I received (purchased from amazon) the set up only had temp control and no humidity control. I contacted ac infinity directly was told to send my purchase info. Sent the following day within 10 minutes had a response of sorry for your inconvenience you should’ve received the gen 2 model verify your address and we’ll ship out correct controller and accessories. The items shipped the same day. Although I purchased from 3rd party on amazon (which has since changed ad to correctly describe) they handled my situation very promptly with great customer service. When I purchase my next fan it will be another from them (directly). Just my 2 pennies. I’m also a fan of the qb boards I’d shy away from buying them from a 3rd party as there are some knock offs. @dbrn32 will get you the correct array for your new space. Your budget should get you a nice set up.

Sweet thanks! Yeah I use amazon a bunch to save money but I want some better bud and am confident enough to get a small Loan to set up the new tent. I am just finishing up with a new viperspectra 600par I bought for this grow and it worked but it could be better. I’m hoping after this next grow I will get my caregiver card and provide bud for a couple patients… I’m in southern Maine and besides green truck farms it dry of good CannaBis… I’m putting most my extra free time into all of this. But I love it so I know it’s worth it. Thanks again for the solid advice on the fan it’s the same I was looking at.

I also have the viparspectra 600 par but it’s in a very small space 18”x30” and definitely has worked but in anything bigger I’d be Leary. Also in my opinion the vivosun tents are nice I paid more for mars because it had a 72” height and it’s heavier 1600d material but overall quality is good but not great.

I currently have a vivosun 4x2 which I will keep on as a Veg tent… in it is a viperspectra and phlizon… big buds but they are light and fluffy as ever… hoping a better light can help that. Finally got nutes and ph down and I’m switching to amended soil lol…

I’ve also been considering fluence lighting my buddy runs the viper 2 but it’s expensive… makes sense the quality he gets out of it… the bud shown is a new strain called tropapia… he grew two different phenos and one of the strain grew like this… looks incredible… almost like grapes

Yea that’s nice looking for sure :eyes::heart_eyes:
Looks like it’s foxtailing a lil bit but some strains do that.

I’ve noticed on the HLG website all the V2 edition of most the quantum boards are sold out… I would assume those are the ones I want?? Lol
I just would really like to get the light dept correct this time. And can’t handle the heat of alternative to LED until I get a new house… I’m currently in a basement with no fresh air in or out except what’s in the house… I have exhale bags going in the tent now. Not sure if they work or not but was told it wouldn’t hurt…

More 288v2 should be available on HLG next week. The QB120 and 132 v2 are available if you want to custom build and frame. Each QB132 will cover a 2x1 space very adequately and come in packs of 4.

Another vote for the HLG and AC Infinity Cloudline T series fans!

I’d talk to @dbrn32 about QB if you are going that way, He has a DIY thread going you might be interested in @Doughbreezy207

@Sixpackdad I just read that a qb132 will cover a 2x1 area I’m building with them so it would cover a 6x2 area with 4

I use four in a 2x4 area and the ppf average for that space is over 800, which is ample for flowering. In a 6x2 space, which is 50% bigger than my space, that puts you around 530which is a little low for flower, but not by much. I had about 525ppfd in a 4x3 using 2-288s and the bud density at the edges of the grow were a bit fluffy but I got plenty of dense buds as well.

I was going to buy a 3x3 tent but I’m looking at building one. I have not built the tent or lights yet but the driver is coming today and I might go with a 4x3 tent what do you think

It’s the same footprint as a 6x2 so your ppfd average will be the same. Did you get V1 or V2 boards when your got the QB132s

I got the V2

Opps they are V1 so I better stick with a 3x3
