Help! Is this meldew or crystallized trichomes or something?

Sucks to say. Sorry but that looks like WPM.

I Believe a budwash can help with that. Jorge made it popular but my friend @Arrow tweaked the recipe a tad. Let me see if I can find/link the post

I agree with @PurpNGold74 that looks like WPM

It is only on the buds tho, and nothing on the leaves. I dont know if that matters but I’ve read somewhere that it starts at the leaves

Nope. Mildews and molds start in dadk humid places. The spores may land on leaves first but we dont notice spores. To… propagate (sorry no better word) they need dark and humid. And guess what the inside of a bud is…. To test the theory. Rip open one of the buds u clipped for pics. Itll be contaminated as well.

A Thorough bud wash will remove the WPM problem. But just make sure u hang in front of a fan and dry properly

Yes welcome, and sorry to say it’s mildew, and I would never wash anything like that, Not worth the risk, research mildew. just my opinion. Been down that road before and have disposed of plenty in the burn barrel, an start over.

So the wash doesnt fix WPM?

it will remove/kill pm on the surface of the plant/bud…everything that is in contact with your solution/s …pm that is internal to the bud will still be there, that is why its recommended to leave the bud for up to 5 min in the solution, to ensure the best possible penetration of said solution/s…the only way to “fix” pm is to not let it get a foothold on your plant, by maintaining a high alkaline surface on the plant… :sunglasses: :v:

I’d throw it in the trash.
