  1. What budget have you set in order to grow successfully?
  • no specific number but I’d be willing to set up some sort of watering system with a 55 gal. Drum that I can mix nutrients into

Okay, now that’s all done, I’m just looking for some input on how close these plants are to harvest, I harvested too early last season but the frost was also coming so I had to get them in before they died, I started earlier this season with Gorilla Sherbet and Mimosa but it’s starting to cool down outside and I’m getting a little worried considering I was told they like the temperature to be above 70°f to grow. Been thinking of putting some row covers on to keep the temperature up, any suggestions? Don’t own a magnifying glass yet so it’s hard to check trichome color but pistil color is easy enough. First set of pictures is the Gorilla Sherbet second is the Mimosa

Would you recommend trimming off any of the fan leaves? It is an auto flowering plant but there are definitely a good amount of fan leaves that aren’t getting much if any sun, it’s a really bushy plant so the leaves on the lower levels as well as down closer to the middle don’t get much sun

These look great. You can remove leaves to give better light it you want now. It also looks like you may still have another 3 or 4 weeks left in this. Do you know how long it has been flowering?

I think they’ve been flowering since mid July, I heard you’re not supposed to take leaves off auto flowering plants but I don’t know for sure, just confirming you know these are auto flowering.

Also does it matter if I trim the fan leaves or the sugar leaves? (The leaves with crystals) I would assume just the fan leaves that aren’t getting much sun

I wouldn’t trim sugar leaves off.

I read online somewhere that if there are tiny branches that aren’t even close to being half as long as the plant is tall, then just trim those off as well because they most likely won’t fully mature by the time the rest of the plant is ready, any input on that?

@Hashtonbutcher is right. There is never a reason to take the sugar leaves off that I have seen. They are the new feeder leaves you will need. As for taking the fan leaves. I do all the time. Once I am getting close to the finish. I start taking all the fans off. I am not sure if I have my current grow over here. I will be taking almost all the fan leaves off due to finding a crap load of thripts. Some thing I never get  Those i will do are ending week 5 of flower. So about 7 weeks left for a few of them. I did a Monster Bruce Banner auto early one. Took almost every thing off her. And still squeezed 10 oz from her :slightly_smiling_face: I can’t tell another to do every thing I do as I do this as a hobby. So no penalty for me if some thing goes a little off. But you are afe taking fan leaves off here and there  I did a carmelicios auto in veg and it would re grow the leaves as fast as I could trim them.

Getting slightly concerned, some of the leaf tips are turning yellow, I’m wondering if it’s a nutrient deficiency or if they are just getting close to being done with flowering

I am not an out doors person. But know if you feed to heavy, the lights indoors will burn the tips. May be the same out side? @Myfriendis410

Haven’t added any fertilizer or anything since I planted them outside haven’t watered them in months either we’ve been getting a good amount of rain, maybe I added too much fertilizer to begin with? But I feel like I would have noticed something by now if that’s the case. Can you get yellowed tips from a lack of nutrients maybe?

Little Update, chopped one Nug off to dry and cure while I give the rest of the plant time to finish up, just wanted to see how it came out

I am not sure about that. @MattyBear grows out side now and then. @Seeddog is always out side

Mother nature has taken good care of your plants . The yellow leaf tips would not concern me at all but just keep an eye on the leaves to make sure it doesn’t progress . I would probably support any branches from sagging from the weight of the buds and maybe take a few (10-20) big fan leaves from the lowest and center parts of the plants . Great work !
