Was probably a dude in hiding, didn’t show itself till flower I’m guessing. A few of my plants ended up the same even though I was sure they had to be female. Mine were also bag seeds.

Well, any regular non fem seed has a higher chance of being male than female I believe. Bag seed or bank those odds don’t really change.

This just popped up overnight, I guess no tellin since I push my nutes and temp was 96 in tent today and yesterday, I stressed it badly I think

I read on the real growers site or discord or maybe heard them say on the show(sorry) not to store it mixed overnight. To use it that day. I use it after im basically done feeding and give them a good drink of my recharge and jacks mixed last so i am not flushing it out

Time to top the girls

Why top? In small grow spaces and tents, height is always going to be an issue. Topping will keep your plants shorter. It will also make better use of the light. If you don’t top, you’re growing a xmas tree shape plant, narrow top and wide base. We want to turn that shape upside down, wide top and narrow base so most of the plant mass is at the top, near the lights.

What are we cutting? We cut the top of the plant off, that’s why it’s called “topping”. This is going to cause the side branches to grow much faster and bigger than if the top was not cut. What we are creating is a plant with many tops, not just one. This will increase yield.

Where to top? Depends on how many tops you want on the plant, more tops are going to make a bushier plant and bushier plants take up more room. In a 3x3, I normally go for 4-6 tops per plant, growing 4 plants. If I had a bigger tent, I might go for 8-10 tops. To get 4 main branches, we cut above the 2nd node. for 6 main branches we cut above the 3rd node, for 8 cut above the 4th node and so on.

When to top? I like to wait until after the transplant, about a week or so to give the plant time to spread her roots out and start growing quickly and have at least 6 nodes.

Here we go, this is easy, get your clean trimmers out and cut some heads off. They won’t hate you, for long.

I’m gonna cut where my forefinger is, leaving 3 nodes below the cut, leave a good amount of stem below the cut.

Now make the cut, remember this is for a good cause, to control height and increase yield, gotta do it

Cut made above 3rd node, good amount of stem left below the cut, done. Now do the rest.

Im going to stop asking questions, and just follow along from here on this journal. My photos, 2 outer plants, are ready to top. Well one question, geez, best time of light cycle to top?

I figure you’re about only one giving any input on photos, so I’ll just refer back to this as i progress, combined with what I think would work best in my space. Topping for starters, which should allow a bit mire light in there.

Anytime during lights on period will be fine but maybe better late in the day so they get a night of rest shortly after.

Yeah they look about ready for a topping, looking good so far, that auto is gonna be between 2 giants shortly.

When it comes to nutes, do you treat coco loco like ocean forest? No nutes first 4-6 weeks?

With coco I believe you can add nutes very soon like within first week if i’m not mistaken. Coco really has nothing in it whereas ocean forest is very hot soil with lots of nutes in it. I think Hell has a grow with coco done where he talks about when to use nutes

Coco loco is not straight coco. Its supposedly a mix of coco and either ocean forest or happy frog. I looked at ff website, but it didn’t get very specific on feeding of course. I haven’t started with it yet, but getting my bearings with it before I do. Thanks, maybe someone here knows the details. Like hell im sure.
