Heavy rain trichomes

hello… heavy rain can wash off the trichomes ???

@haze1968. No. They’re not water soluble.

I looked with the magnifying glass and I’m almost sure that after the heavy rain the trichomes were less … maybe the impact with the water has “broken” them ???

From my experience which isn’t a huge amount it depends on what stage the tri comes are at. Amber tricomes are typically more susceptible to being dislodged.
I noted this during a late rain and during the wash of a later plant last season.

trichomes are white/foggy not amber yet…

Yup totally water proof that’s why it’s safe and recommended to wash your bud before hanging

Going to need more magnification than that to check your trichomes. Look for something that goes to at least 60 X minimum. I personally use one that has a 60x and a 120 X lens that I can switch between.

I’ve been very happy with this one: Carson MicroBrite Plus LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_vXFAFb004XRD9

You want to look at the calyx when doing a trich check. Sugar leaves aren’t going to cut it.

white widow … I take it off ???
