I just dry trimmed my first harvest since 1989 and it smells out right like gasoline. Was fruity smelling during the grow.
Is this normal?

Was an indoor grow. It’s an ethos apex bag seed so not sure who the dad is
Really sticky and was dried at RH 40%-55% but temps were in the low 70’s.
Most likely you grew NYC Diesel

Sounds like one of the Diesel strains to me. I have never grown one nor smoked any of that type. I do have some Diesel strains tho. It just never sounded good to me.

Diesel strains are names just for that reason lol. It’ll sweeten some if that’s what it is, but that gas smell will definitely hang around.

Consider yourself lucky!! Lol, I love the fruity terpes as well, but nothing beats a good gas flavor to mix it up with all the fruity terps going on in the market.
If you really don’t like the gas terpes, you could make edibles or concentrates as mentioned, and just choose a diff strain to grow next time.
