Heat, weed, baked goods

Ok I’ve read that when drying or curing that heat basically kills the thc in the weed. So if this is the case, then why doesn’t it kill the thc in baked goods?

Light will degrade THC, heat converts the THC in weed to the psychoactive part. THC-A inti THC. This is why if you were to just throw weed into some butter, and then try to use the butter, you wouldnt get high. You need to decarb the weed first to convert it.
When smoking your lighter does this at the bowl, it also naturally converts a little over time just by drying.

Also theres a fine line between decarbing (activating) the weed and burning ur thc to uselessness and more cbds.

When decarbing i believe 180-220 F is the proper range. N not over too long. :+1:t5:

Just curious, I’ve already read, loo drying in a oven would kill it, I was trying to figure out the difference in baking brownies or cookies, lol

Ah. Yes. Can definitely over cook ur canna n kill the buzz
