I have used an 8 lamp - four foot T5. I have a couple grow journals with it on here (I think).
The lamps were PowerVeg 2900k and UVA/UVB

I feel like most aren’t thinking $30/bulb when they say t5. But you’ve done pretty well with them. There is a member in lab that has run them in his veg room for quite some time.

Can build a 200 watt QB for the cost of bulb replacement… and the UV bulbs are only good for about 3 grows…

I agree. I wouldn’t balk at dropping some 6500k bulbs in and vegging appropriate space if you already had the fixture. But there’s not enough efficacy in the t5 bulbs to support that much of a cost swing.
