Harvesting while soil is dry or wet

Should I harvest when the soil is wet or dry? does it matter? And if I was to split stem do I do it right before the dark period or do it before? @Hogmaster @Majiktoker @latewood @Donaldj @garrigan62 and anyone else

I’m not sure if it matters but to be honest I’ve never read anything that specifies so I’m curious as to what the pros do.

You can stick it in anytime I like to do it first thing in the morning before feeding but I’ve done it all different times didn’t make a difference leave it in there for four days and be amazed it’s really cool when you have two plants or you can do a side-by-side

@macadon this is just my humble opinion and if i get corrected then hopefully we will both learn lol…

I personally do the stab and split of main stem just as i finish off feeding and start a RINSE not flush cycle, now i know that not everyone does this and the science behind it has been defunked well and truly by @Aquaponic_Dumme i believe with an awesome article but still as i was saying i split stem and do a rinse day just PH water and then leave for 24hrs do that 3 times and then wait til the medium is almost dry before starting the dark 48hrs… so by time I’m harvesting the coco in my case is practically bone dry…

Thanks @Hogmaster and @B345T I’m definitely trying it. It couldn’t hurt. I’ll do one for now and compare to the others
