Happy Frog runoff test

I can’t really see the trichomes, but by the look of the pistils I’d assume you’re correct in that they might still be mostly clear. She’s a slow going auto, but the rewards at the end will be worth the wait.

Be warned, Photosynthesis Plus works incredibly well and your plants will absolutely love it, but it’s one of the worst smelling products on the planet Earth, lol. When I use it, my whole grow room stinks for several hours!

The smell don’t bother me. The silica and the other packet are they a powder that you utilize for the top feed?

The silica goes into your feeding solution first, even before the calmag. You should let the silica be in the water for 20 to 30 minutes before you mix anything else in.
The yucca also goes into your feeding solution, and I add the yucca last.

I bought all four of the nutrients for slightly under a hundred bucks. The only different I got the liquid silica. You get a little more for the dollar. At the end of the day it’s still over $150 bucks in nutrients however I picked up four extra items for the same $150 win-win for me and the girls! That’s Ron. I’ll eat hamburgers instead of steak for a week

So the veg yield enhancer is like big buds?

The Vegetable & Fruit Yield Enhancer is another microbe/fungi product, similar to the Photosynthesis Plus but with different species, and humic acids as well.

Big Bud is a bloom booster, with phosphorus and Potassium. This one you have to be careful with. Too much will cause big problems.

Photosynthesis Plus I use through the entire grow. Vegetable & Fruit Yield Enhancer I start using about a week or so before flowering and then for the rest of the grow. I use both of them as directed. Two ounces per 5 gallons of water for the first dose, and then one ounce per 5 gallons for each future dose, and I use them once a week.

Well that could be a problem for me. A little past Midway through flowering I increase the big bud. If the plant is showing bigger buds I use more sometimes double. I don’t know if I have the problems that you’re referring to that it causes but I am guilty of using a lot

Too much of any bloom booster can easily cause excess Potassium in the root zone. But each plant is an individual, and you’ve gotten good at reading them, so you can make recipes based on what you think each one needs.

The Do-Si-Dos non-budding big girl started turning a little yellow again. Since she is the youngest in the tent leads me to believe that she has the most coco mixture. I didn’t start using cocoa until I figured out how hard and tough Happy Frog actually was. I do believe I’m going to have to start putting calcium magnesium in every other feed in small doses. That should take care of that.

On the positive side, I think she’s starting to get a little fatter in the bud area. It’s not massive but it’s a start.

As for the big bud I did only use it extra on the girls that look like they were going to be monsters and could handle it. Like any nutrient I guess less is more in the auto flowers. Here’s a picture of the two big girls side by side. Sorry for the bad picture, I spent all my money on nutrients. As you can see Do-Si-Dos has outgrown the big girl

If you recall, the big girl and her sister has been on a reduced diet of strictly base nutrients with big buds at 600 EC

I stopped reading the runoff because their time is near and showed no problems. This morning I decided to check big girls run off. For 2 weeks she’s been eating at 600 EC I assumed she’d have a much lower runoff. She’s still running off 980EC & a 6.5ph

She had the same numbers eating at 850EC

That’s a gorgeous cola right there!

They start consuming less towards the end, so that could account for some of the reason the runoff is still up there, but that’s good because now you know they’ll still have access to those leftover nutrients if they want any during the time you’ll be giving them just water.

My local grocery store had marshmallow skewers the size of yardsticks. 12 in a pack for $3 I just had to add one to one of the largest colas on the big girl so it wouldn’t snap. Pulling her in and out of the tent every single day to eat is like watching the leaning Tower of Pisa way back and forth. She’s got more twist ties and steaks in her it’ll take me an hour to break her free. One thing that I did notice about her when just tying her up. A lot of the girls in the tent have really hard dense buds. Although big girl has tons of buds and they’re huge they’re extremely soft and sticky

Great looking girls you’ve got. If the one with softer buds is the one with Ruderalis I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised once she’s cured. My first grow I had one with buds that had Ruderalis structure, looked weird but the colas were very long and unbelievable buzz and taste after being bagged for 2 months. :slightly_smiling_face:

There all autoflowers. It’s all I can grow. My environment supports all aspects of Auto flowers almost 100%

Unfortunately I can’t dial into photos light leakage aspect and control the proper environment. I would have Hermes every grow.

I do pretty good with the auto flower and I’m actually happy with them. If it’s the only thing you can grow you’ll find a way to perfect it.

Big girl is 13.14 weeks old. Very few white hairs left. Absolutely no sign of milky trichomes whatsoever as far as I can tell. Seem unusual to you? Trust me I got patience this is not an impatient issue. I’m just wondering why I haven’t seen anything milky yet. This is a 12 to 14 week plant

Here’s another one, GSCE 13 weeks looks ready then what looks like seed pods (and I know they’re not) last night start spitting out all these brand new white hairs. WTF.

Sometimes it’s really difficult to tell the difference between clear and cloudy trichomes, but my vision isn’t very good these days either. Sometimes it takes me quite a while to focus in and have a good look, but that moment of clear focus is usually very brief. So I rely on seeing when a few amber ones show up, or I sometimes try using that little mini microscope that clips over the canera lens on my phone.

The second pic looks like a little foxtailing, no big deal, but if you want to stop it you could lower the intensity of the light a bit. That normally happens towards the end under very strong lighting.

I’ll wait for some Amber I can’t see very well. I can reduce the light not a problem what is foxtail and what does it do?

Foxtailing is when you see what look like little mini buds start growing out of the big buds. It usually happens in the last couple of weeks if the lighting is very strong. It’s not really a problem, it won’t effect the buds potentcy, taste, or smell, and you can snip them right off while you’re trimming if you want. I usually lower the strength of the grow light from around 650-700 PPFD to around 550-600 for the last two weeks to try and avoid it, but again, it’s not really a big deal either way.

I cut the light back to 75% as 90% of the tent should be done in 3weeks. Just looking at all plants at this stage it’s kind of boring. Everything’s pretty much fully grown it’s just ripening. 90% of the tent is GSCE

It’s funny when I open the door to my house you can smell weed. In the grow room it doesn’t smell at all. In the tent it doesn’t smell anymore. If you put your nose up to the buds doesn’t really smell. However, if you grab a bud your finger smell like weed really bad.

Are you familiar with the characteristics of GSCE will this stuff start to smell when I cure it?

This strand is definitely a heavy producer. Every plant has huge thick buds. Summer very dark in the hairs are dark red almost brown. The buds look like they were dipped in chocolate. (Not a very big fan of chocolate weed)

I popped in a while ago on your plants they look great. Your grow area is very clean and professional. To me that’s the start of being a good grower.

I can’t wait for this grow to be over. The next grow I don’t think I’ll take on so many plants. It’s so cramped in the tent it’s unbelievable.

Happy Friday Ron enjoy your weekend as always thank you so much for your help! :v:
