So I didn’t have the energy to water my girls last night and had my wife do it this morning after I left for work. I left her instructions on how to mix all the nutrients, I use jacks and silica. However I forgot to add instructions to ph so she did all the feeding without ph. Do I need to do a full flush on everything? Or will they fix themselves in the next couple feedings I’m on week 5 flower. The pic I included is from about 5 days ago so they are much bigger.
I’ve had a damn near perfect run I’m so upset this happened.
If she’s doing what you normally do what would the ph have been when she watered with the nutes added in? You’re probably gonna be fine. 1x shouldn’t be that extreme. You can correct next watering.
I water straight from the hose on my outdoor girls when I don’t feel like lugging jugs up the hill lol. Taps at like 7.5. I figure it’ll work out in the soil lol.
LSS, yes.
I know the smart ass-ed answer is not appreciated, but if you knew MY WIFE, clearly, beyound any doubt, she can break anything, of mine (and she is all mine, til death do us part, or 10 more years on this contract). I was just doing my monthly calibration on the PH pens (two are brand new, in box, sitting for 3 months) Results: 3, good, 1 slow, and 1 requires calibration. My back-up, for the back-up, works good, today. One incident should not be a problem unless, introduced water was spiked (way off 7.0)
It should not cause a major problem. The next feed maybe increase the amount of runoff. One thing that may rest your concern is: it is common to increase ph slightly during late flower
My concern is the silica In there would have brought the ph up to 9 or close to . Silica really raises my ph. But if it’s still not a problem I’ll water at 5 ph for the next couple waterings and Check my outputs
Then decide what PH to water, with, right?
Yeah I’ll put in 5.5 and see what comes out
I grow in coco
Is silica the first additive when combining nutes?
So it will only be one day and then fed with proper ph.
Yes it is but I never understood why that is. Does it really make a difference? Sometimes I forget but less Oftrn than not.
I believe it is how silica will bond to nutrient molecules if isn’t added first. Some say their solution turned cloudy if it wasn’t mixed in the proper order. I always abide by the silica first rule. But I do wonder if there is a difference between liquid vs soluble forms. I used liquid.
I use the liquid silica as well. I abide by it 9/10 times but the times I forget I don’t notice any difference. I use jacks , but I am Curious as to why that is . I guess I could google it but hey…
Hi,
Do you do slurry tests? Anyway, a slurry test will qualify the ph of your growing medium.
I do slurry test sometimes but I feel like I get better results with runoff testing as I can’t get the coco from the bottom of my pots
They are looking good. There’s a couple that I am gonna flush tomorow as the runoff tested at 6.8 and they are showing signs of ph range issues on there leaves so the ones that are having visual problems and high run off numbers I’m gonna flush tomorrow with sledgehammer.
The end game is beautiful. I might reveg my best one
