This year, I grew marijuana in an open area in a pine forest, but the forest soil was so acidic that I had to bring in my own soil. I’m looking to expand my reach this year. Can I do something to sweeten the soil a little bit? If so, how?
t is possible to prepare the acidic soil for a spring marijuana crop. Test the soil, and then use the amount of dolomitic limestone that your local nursery person recommends to life the soil to a pH of 6.2. Mix in the limestone quickly so that it has enough time to react. You can also throw in some organic fertilizers simultaneously. The soil pH will be closer to ideal and nutrients will be ready to support the growing marijuana plant in about 2 to 3 months.
