I’m actually making my first attempt at growing some garlic outside, so far they are doing great as far as I can tell anyway, the garlic grows beneath the soil so I won’t know for sure until the end of June when I pick them but they have nice healthy leafs on the surface. (I usualy grow tomatoes and cucumbers)

I don’t think I’ve grown garlic, but I’ve done chives in the greenhouse. I have a space out back that’s about 40 ft by 20ft all wired in , even the top that where I grow my vegi’s. Because of this stupid weather I was late putting in my tomatoes but they grow fast and are usually all done by the August. Here in MA mother nature got her months wrong , its May not March. The weather has been really cold for May but like they say " if you don’t like the weather here just wait a minute it will change". Last week we hit the 90’s , this week its chilly about 50 - 60"s and it’s been raining everyday for 4 days now and its going to be raining Friday and through the weekend. I grew carrots one year , same thing , grows underground and the waiting was the fun part, not knowing keeps it fun @Jmesser80 and they grew beautifully. Since my neighbor has a Huge veg stand , I don’t grow carrots anymore, they are cheap enough, I just buy them from there. Thank you again and happy growing.

@MBgrower I can be used and all those thing will work I know the thread your talking about and at the end he does state he probably won’t use it again but you can give it a try for kick bro I did
It’s good for getting clones rooted ive used mine for that as well
But I find it easier just to start in a solo cup since I’m a soil grower don’t want put any stress on the girls going from water to soil ?
Also if you don’t already have a areogarden you could purchase a few dwc bucket set up for the same price just saying

I started growing in an Aerogarden with the LED light set up. It will grow 1 to 2 plants, but there are things to consider. The water tank on an aerogarden is only about 1 gallon. PH levels change very quickly and can cause problems. Also 2 plants may be too much, because of the small size of the tank i had to add an air pump and air stone to keep plants roots healthy. Even after that the tank is small and the roots collided with each plant and caused problems. 1 plant died when i switched to Bloom. the remaining plant grew fine until the roots filled the inside tank and there was little room for water. LED lights also require extra Cal Mag be added as i found out. Also the yield that i got was not worth all the trouble. It was how ever a great source of learning and it is awesome for germ and seedlings. The Light portion was fine for growing other things but not as strong as needed to grow healthy descent yielding cannabis plants. Hope that helps some!

Thank you so much for your input , I already have one, my husband found it in a closet , my father in-law used it a few years ago so its old but still works fine. I also grow in soil but you brought up a good issue, CLONING, I do plan on trying to clone the girls I have already started that are about a month old and I’m leaning on trying to grow one of the midget plants , Lowdrey I think is the name, it grows only about 18" and if it doesn’t work well I can use the seeds for next season. Actually it would be good to start a few girls early under it , then I would have two harvests. I still have a lot of reading to do. Thank you very much , you brought up some interesting topics @Countryboyjvd1971 that I wasn’t even thinking about using it for. I love this Forum, everyone here is so willing to help

Yes that did help a lot , the more I read on this I might just use it start seeds early so I can have 2 harvest next year. It’s an old one , you don’t have use the water pumps and the pot can be taken out if I wanted to use a different container. I’m very new to this, I grew one last year and she came out beautiful but my friend had given her to me already established so starting from seed it has been interesting but very good so far. Thank you so much for your reply @zerosyce , I do appreciate all the help , knowledge and support from everyone here on this Forum, it’s a good feeling that I’m not just winging it and I have so much help at my finger tips

I won’t order seeds from anywhere else, they have been outstanding. I ordered 5 strawberry kush , all five popped and are about a month old and doing great. I also ordered 10 get 10 free of the WW for a friend and germinated them for him and all 20 popped and are also doing great so far, the WW are about 3 weeks old. I do agree with the customer service, they are out standing, plus this Forum is awesome , having such knowledge and support has been incredible. I’m learning so much and feel confident on my first grow from seeds. Thank you again, I don’t think I could thank you enough @Hogmaster

Lol, I was just thinking of take some pictures of my girls and update my journal, I swear they doubled in size in ONE day, considering the wear her here has absolutely sucked , rained all week theme at night about 45-50’s and days 58 , and my girls have been outside, the stems are getting amazingly strong, we hadSun today in the 69’s , so it’s pretty chilly , My girls absolutely amazed me @Countryboyjvd1971
