Grow tent size/plant size and #

hi there,
i am beginning to feel like i did not purchase a large enough tent. i am do dwc, a 4 bucket system in a 2x4x60. i decided, after so many seed and seedling deaths so far that i would do just 2 plants, but still the height is not there. with the 5 gallon bucket that leaves only about 3 feet to grow and that will right up to the light. do i need to rethink this? i have done a great deal of research but this issue did not come up until too late. what do you think? i am on a tight budget so if i can make this work that would be great. thanks everyone. you have been so helpful :).

Two plants are about all you can fit in a 2x4. You might get away with 3 smaller sized autos.

By far the most common cause of seedling problems is overwatering. They only need a couple ml of water per day at the seedling stage. Cannabis needs wet/dry cycles throughout its lifecycle.

You can do some horizontal training on them and still have some good results. Just gotta time it for the flowering stretch. 2 plants could get you a good yield.

My brother you will be ok as long as you top your plant… I’m speaking from experience… i started out with a 2×2×4’ tall tent … ran outa room because my dumbass didn’t top her so i bought a 2×4×5’ tall and have just enough room for that beast so whatever you do top your plant… this is her… a super skunk auto

This is a red super skunk auto I’m training now

This is a banana kush auto im training a totally different way.

I vegged too long in a 2x4 and 8’ tall tent :joy: I still have about 4-6 weeks and theyre already overtaking the tent and i had to rig my light higher :joy:

Its always a struggle. I still wish i had a bigger tent :joy: Would love a 5x5

Until yesterday, I had 3 fully matured, 1 solo cup grow about 1½ weeks in flower, and 3 autos starting veg. I just chopped 2 of the 3 biguns, and the other is in the dark until tomorrow. My tent is a 32x32

Not if you saw me having to feed them :unamused::unamused::unamused:
The last two weeks I was having to take every plant out of the tent and pull and push and hope to Jeebus I didn’t snap anything  I’ll have enough from this grow, that the next I’ll do 1 plant I can give more attention to. May throw an auto or 3 in :man_shrugging:t3::man_shrugging:t3::man_facepalming:t3::green_heart::palm_tree::sunglasses:

Ive got a bunch of auto grows and harvests on my belt, and I’m working through my first photos.

I vegged them too long (10 weeks lmao), theyre ridiculous… both are now in 10 gal pots… and having to haul them out to water is absolutely a chore :smile:

@ingridS Are you just straight up growing in plastic buckets or are you using fabric pots?

I highly recommend fabrics

i will do that. thank you.

Aha! I’m not familiar with that set up honestly. Ive only grown in soils myself so i wont be much help on that route!

However if you’re worried about height you can always top the plants, LST them, maybe install a trellis at some point and also maybe super crop! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

This is my “monolith” tent :joy:

Still outta control with two in there…

I have a good canopy, and theyre all lollipopped underneath, but yeah… I’m clueless on hydro :joy:

Some nice training and you will be fine. Nothing fancy or hard. You can pull some nice yields with short fat plants. You have this. Happy growing Mam.
