I will be moving to a new house and building a more permanent grow room instead of using a tent. Ideally this room I am building would double as a closet when I am not actively growing.

What would be a good size room in square foot to grow two photoperiod plants?

The place where I will be building this room isn’t a perfect square, it is moreso long and narrow than square.

2x4 would be fine

I’d go 3x4. Give some breathing room. At full growth 2 plants will absolutely fill a 2x4 area.

I would put some consideration into how much you would like each plant to produce. 2x4 plenty good to let plants grow naturally and get a couple ounces per plant. But you may also want to consider how well it functions as a closet too.
