Grow out hermie seeds

So I’m having a dilemma. Before I had ordered my WW seeds I dropped a few beans that I got from my **Hermie the Scrog ** grow. Now that I have my WW seeds I’m having a hard time just trashing them. Are these even worth growing? Are they doomed to produce hermies?

doomed.? no.
they do have a hermie heritage tho.!
if they get good conditions they will be normal,
may start banana sacks very late in flower, but not worth worrying about at that point.

They’re so young, if you cull them now, not much time/effort/power/nutes will have been spent on them, and you can start your good seeds.

Depends what caused your plant to hermie. If it’s a strain that is genetically predisposed to hermie like cherry pie or a few others I might trash them Bc the chances are even higher. But if it was a light leak or heat stress I personally would grow them out.

Good luck with whatever u choose

I just trashed a plant that was 10 days into 12/12,bag seed of some amazing smoke but you it hermied right on me, i knew the risk, and im not doing that again! Alot of efforts/nutrients/love wasted, grow good genetics, theyll reward you :stuck_out_tongue: I am mad at myself because I trashed a clone of what ended up to be one hell of an amazing plant to keep that hermie lol

Agreed, you can make good genetics go bad on you too, but being in the unknow unless you have lotsa space a nute to waste I personally think it isnt the best option.

If it hermied 10 days after flip it was either a male or genetically a hermie. That’s not enough time into flower for any other reason. Sorry. Nanners suck.

It showed pistils in veg, didnt look for any hermie traits until in flower, she had branches full female while other had nodes with pistils and balls or just balls, shiz happen, that weed was too good I had to try to grow them loll

I’m not sure what caused the original hermie. I don’t believe it was light leaks. I was told it was an Afghan strain. I believe my mistake was stressing the plant by over nuting ( but I never saw any leaf symptoms) and topping and pruning too late in the grow. I’m hoping the WW are a little more tolerant of mistakes than my last try.

White widow is one of the most forgiving strains to grow. That’s why it’s known as a novice strain. And yes if u did too much training late in flower that can do it. If u aren’t worried about space I would grow them. Sounds like u caused it to hermie.

Keep in mind any plant can hermie but u should b good with the WW

Mine was definitely female but started to pop out balls randomly

Ya that’s kind of early in flower for a hermie. Might b genetic. Did u check that out to make sure it wasn’t a calyx? That’s what they look like as they transform from pistils to bud.

No I popped a few open and that pod was full of nanners. I finished the grow as it was my only plant it pollenated itself and was chuck full of seeds. What was left of the flower was a great smoke tho.

That sucks. As much as I hate to cull plants I’m might…, nah not me I would grow them. I can’t cull one unless I’m positive.

That’s my dilemma. At the moment I only have one cabinet and it’s only big enough for one plant scrogged. I prefer to grow in the winter as it’s easier to keep temps and humidity under control ( I grow In my basement.) so time is an issue.

Honestly… looking back at this pic and remembering how disappointed I was I’m going to cull them. It was good germination practice though

Well I have found a use for these plants. Why not experiment right? So I have put together my second cabinet so I can try running these hermie seeds/ plant on 12/12 from seed and see what happens . I have a ton of seeds from the last grow so if this works I’ll have enough to keep it going for a loooong time

So far so good. If they are genetic hermies I should know in about 20 days

Did you ever find out if these turned to hermies?
