Grow marijuana under the cover of woods?

Can marijuana thrive under the cover of woods? I have this perfect location but there’s not that much sun.

It really depends on how much light gets through the canopy. Light fuels photosynthesis, so plants grow more dynamically when they get more light. Indoor marijuana plants and those adapted to high latitudes are more likely to withstand low light conditions that plants accustomed to the equator. Indicas generally work better in the shade than sativas. Three hours of direct light per day will produce skimpy buds, while six hours will produce thicker buds.
