Those are not trips or grasshopper they circle around the stem’s and suck the stems they don’t really effect the plant
But I don’t want them around my flowers or pooping in them either
Mix milk and water in hand spayer try to just spay them and stems not buds they will be able to be picked off by hand by the next morning
I see those in Texas every year
@Mr.Mr.Limelight My infestation is def. thrips, Onion thrips to be exact. They bore into the leaves and lay eggs thats what the little white dots are. Repeated spraying is required to control them. Leaf removal is key. They grow fast but start real small. Google onion thrip and thats what mine look like. Squashed one today along with a grasshopper. Cat
Ok I’m glad you got it handled
but that pic looked a little big to be a onion thrips
(not that I had a size reference to compare)
I was thinking it was a mature soldier beetle or adolescent click beetle they look like firefly’s but don’t light up that’s what I was talking about with the milk spay
So I’m sorry for bad info
And I don’t know it took back the heart like
No problem, I killed one today that was almost transparent and was about 1/4" she was on the underside of a leaf. I’m about 4 weeks from harvest I might tear after them with the Capt. Jacks. It’s difficult to get a good pic because they are so small. Cat
Get ‘em all gone cat1 don’t let none of them mess with your plants

I’m glad you got your peeper’s seeing clearly
Yesterday I had a new best friend show up, she is the biggest praying mantis I have seen. I named her Sue
Today I found this girl on my big girl Zkittlez down the stem there was a thrip that was sucked dry. she’s kinda hard to see but she is looking at the camera.

Sue’s gone I hope she comes back, I’m sad. Found aphids on the hydro girl. Is it to late in the year to use Capt. Jacks? Temps are suppose to be in the High 80s Low~ high 60s, harvest in a couple of weeks.
You can use Captain Jack’s anytime from seed to harvest
Looks into electro culture gardening my veg garden had tons of aphids and such last year used a version of that with just a 5-ft copper pipe in the ground and a tomato cage in the top of it for an antenna in the garden didn’t have any pests this year and it’s way bigger I’ve got 6 1/2 ft tomatoes plants and pep plants are way bigger as well it made me a believer
Do I have to wear a tin foil helmet?
green house is next to two 8’ ground rods would that work? I also get stink bugs on my pumpkin plants wonder if that would help.
Capn jacks and Dr zymes are both safe to use thru harvest but make sure to do a good bud wash before u dry and cure.
Thats close only mine are a little thinner and that one looks like a west coast critter. I have some Capt. Jacks but I’m so close to harvest and still have some good bugs. These buds are so sticky. cat
