I just purchased an HLG 55O RSPEC so of course the opportunity to get a brand new 550(not r spec) arises for very cheap. Im thinking of getting it but its not a exact match to the one i have. Its a 3000k btw.
Is their a way to add the red? Add leds, a driver etc… wouldnt be much i wouldnt think?

A 3000k has a lot of red in it since that leans hard that way. I have a 320 that is a 2700k. It does as well as my smaller R spec lights. Those are 3500 with extra red added I believe. But @dbrn32 is the answer man here

It helps. Would basically come down to where you’re at without it and total cost of putting it in. I would run the light the way it comes and see if you’re happy with results.
