The stick is for checking the temperature for the water
It’s your equipment, if you’re comfortable with that is all that should matter. When I went and looked at it, the description said indoor/outdoor.

Yea I ask someone on amazon if the stick is to check the water they said yes so far it works good this is what he said yes you have a little sensor on a wire about 24 inches long." So I’m happy just want something for what I doing don’t want something that won’t help u know but thanks again
