4 bulb 2’ t5 is what you would buy to veg a 2x2 ish space. A 400 watt 8 bulb 4’ t5 will veg a 4x4. For a 5x5, it just doesn’t make sense to use fluorescent at all.

What’s your recommendation? I wouldnt mind investing a bit more. I’d assume you prefer LED?

For a 5x5 need a big fixture, or multiple smaller fixtures if going led, maybe two 260 xl qb kits. Hid I wouldn’t go any smaller than 600 mh or 630 cmh.

Really appreciate it! Update: my first 5 plants arent doing well due to a multitude of issues. I germinated and planted 5 new white widow fems. Each was started in FF HF soil, agrobrite high output grow light

They’re not doing well? That sucks, hope they come back to life for you!
I planted 2 Northern Lights/Shiva about 3 weeks ago in my new setup. My #2 plant is missing a cotyldon leaf and is growing slow and kind of deformed lol, but the #1 plant is doing great, about to transplant tomorrow.
