Good idea or not

I have this auto that had some tall limbs that forced me to raise the light a little higher than I wanted to keep the shorter ones well lit, so I tied them over to keep the canopy closer to the same height . Does this seem like a good idea?

Yeah i have lots of learning to do when it comes to training. Those 2 are a mess. My next set heading to flower i did much better with. Thanks hugely to all the info here. Ill snap a couple pics of my whole setup.
