Definitely bad though.
All caterpillar types are bad.
Hope you did not find that thing on your buds. Best to start treating with bug killer juice. If there is one there is more.
We have one caterpillar that will literally burn your skin where it touches flesh. Its beyond unpleasant. Even with an allergy pill. I kill them all. I am surprised I don’t get them inside.
But yeah all caterpillars must die inside. 
Thank you everyone, this is an outdoor inground grow so I have to anticipate different bugs in my travels LOL
That bug is GOOD for nothing but trouble… kill it roll it over then kill it again
All caterpillars are bad on plants IMO. They can’t chase food, or fly to other feeding grounds, so they eat up the plants. Lots of insects are predatory and eat up other bugs, but not caterpillars.
