Generally, how long do plants stay in seedling stage?

I read somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks. I jumped the gun on my last grow I think. I topped it too early and didnt get the amount I expected.

Thanks

The seedling stage on average lasts about 1-2 weeks. Most people count the beginning of the seedling stage when you see the first set of jagged leaves.

I think your question was really about the vegetative state. With an autoflower plant, this on average is about 6-8 weeks. With a photoperiod plant, you pretty much control when you want it to exit the vegetative state and begin the flowering state.

As far as topping goes, the general consensus is to wait until the plant has at least 4-6 nodes. So, it’s not really a matter of how old the plant is, it’s a matter of how mature the plant is.

Ok. I’ve been doing that on my past grows. It’s just that I read something on another reliable site. My babies got jagged leaves on day 3.
