Awesome. @ThcinKC has you covered.
@ThcinKC is the man he is a large scale farmer and shows you how to source some products for pennies on the dollar check out his threads for great info
How many plants per acre are you running and how many acres? Are you feeding with drip irrigation? Check out kangen water - Iām planning on trying a misting system running these mixes to pass usda organics certification for pest and mold/bacteria control.
Youāre walking into a beautiful situation. I doubt he wants you to do much more than just follow his instructions. If you start changing his system thatās worked your essentially betting your a$$ itās gonna be better. Iād ask him for his model so you can see what heās been doing and improve with tried and true methods before going out on a limb with anything. Good luck
Yea itās a drip irrigation controlled by his phone. He has cameras on the plants so he can see when to water them. Itās only 12 plants in 3 locations right now. Heās building a massive facility before the summer is over in 50+ acres. I know he has a team working on his private Lp license. Want to do a good job on these 12 plants so hopefully I can be in charge of all these acres next year
Another tool for any farmer is a malic 3 soil test this will tell you what the soil has and what itās lacking and what percentages of sand, silt, and clay. This Will let you know what green manures and fertilizer to use. Agsil 16h is great for silica and is cheap and works itās used all through the grainbelt of the U.S. im in ks and have a lot of high winds anyway just passing the information along and then you research and see what works for you. I wish my state would hurry up and get with the program i got 500acers to play with. Good luck your asking questions and checking things your going to do greatā¦
Great thanks. Iāll definitely do that research

@ThcinKC where do you buy your Agsil?
If your not buying pallets then this is a good place to get it beside a CO-OP

Grain elevators will have a farm supply on the side of them to well alot do here in the Midwest
So I have to manually add the nutrient water to each plant. How much solution to slowly add per 6-7.5ā plant? 15 gallons enough?
You might want to invest in a tool like this for spraying for pets and foliar feeding:
Also check this link:
15-20 gallons of nute solution good per large plant?
If you are talking about a compost tea, I would think that 1-2 gallons max is good. You can also dilute the solution in half to get it to spread more.
Take one gallon of tea to 4gal of water and give each plant 5gal they are huge and in the ground
Youāre a very lucky man! Very few people get to do what they love for a living. Have fun with it go into it knowing that itās going to be a big learning experience. And when you have questions the internet has the answers I guarantee you. Good luck!
Okay so I think he just got a ton of free nutes. I donāt know if the company wants him to use them? They are the general organics bio series. How many gallons of 3/4 strength bio series would you give these large plants to make sure all the roots are feeding properly?
Bio root
Bio thrive
Bio bud
Camg plus
I couldnāt say i donāt know anything about those nutrients but your plants are big enough for 3 to 5gal of nutrients per plant
Siiiiii senor
Personally Iād go with a stihl sr 450 or 430. Can also look into ulv machines but they have 0 residual control. Stihls are anywhere from 550$-800$ but can easily get 6-8k hours off them if you maintain them properly
They also have smaller ones like sr 250s but theyāre junk!
