If you have things shut down for summer do yourself a favor. Pull all batteries out of your meters, gauges,etc. Coming back to blown up batteries sux and a true pain. Sometimes costly.

Ouch! Getting a little baking soda therapy is what I’ve heard refered too.

That will work if the corrosion isn’t too bad, and it can be pretty bad, but the baking soda paste (water+Baking Soda) does work reasonably well for fixing that
Although point taken, removing batteries prevents the issue to begin with

I’d also suggest automotive battery terminal cleaner and protector if it does happen. But easier way is just removing batteries like previously stated haha.

Also only use high end batteries. The ones from the dollar store are garbage
