Fox farm nutes feeding schedule in ffhf

First time auto grower here, got 3 tails in 5 gallon smart pots, I dropped in a Dixie cup sized ball of coco in center surrounded by ffhf, I’m looking for nute feeding recommendations for this set up, oh the soil base is ffhf, coco ,perlite 70/20/10,
I figure I got 2-3 wks to lock my plan in but best be prepared, also any thoughts on any type of root boost at this time , read it really helps autos out.
Anyway thanks for stopping by, hope to hear from you all, Thx again.

enjoying my maddness

does that mean you have 3 plants in one pot? Lots of folks use a 3-5 gallon for autos and that is for just one plant. There is a thread somewhere sorry don’t remember but it is about growing more then one plant in a pot. Myself I would go to a bigger pot if doing 3 plants. I would say it isn’t really recommend to grow more then one plant in a pot. If you got the skills then go for it.

Thx Smoking_Ernie, I don’t have those skill levels yet lol, no there in individual 5 gallon pots.

Cool. The fox farm has a trio nutrient basic stuff but it will come with a feeding schedule. Check on amazon or your local hardware/garden shop may have them. You can always find a schedule on line.

Yep I found the ff feeding schedule and they pump a lot of nutes into there feedings, my reading leads me to think these autos are better off on the light side, hoping to come across some one

@Screwauger grows some really nice autos maybe he will chime in

I think I was talking to him on here yesterday, thanks for the intro its appreciated, I was readying some of your stuff too…I have the ff trio on hand from last grow along with some cpl mag , I’m gonna order or pick up a ppm pen today to see if I need the cal mag or not, my tent was off this morning, 99%RH and 68 f. Good Lord, flipped on cheap bestva 600watt veg light @28 inches to warm it up…turned down cool mist…

I see that you’re doing 70-20-10 mix :+1:t3: I’ve found that a lil bit of coir added into the mix helps to dry the soil a bit faster. BTW make sure to do those flushes to avoid the salt buildup!

@Budbrother, would you start right into their feeding schedule when also using the Fox Farms soils or should you hold off until the nutrients already in the soil are used up? I’m using the Ocean Forest and read that I should wait before starting the FF trio of nutrients.

I go by what my plants are telling me. I view the FF schedule as a guide to product usage. The chart doesn’t take some things into account. ie. Plant health, food consumed, flowering transition time…

For a new grower, I’d say, follow along, but start off at half the recommended ppm. You’re growing autos; at least I think. @raustin might have more to say on the FF nute subject.

I’m a photo grower, and I do a 3 stage transplant. To advise you better WE need more info first.

Thanks for the tag, @Budbrother.

If you’re in Ocean Forest soil which is very hot and charged for the first 4 weeks of growth, then you want to wait to add any nutes. Their schedule is a little misleading because it’s just way too many nutes. So after the first 4 weeks you can start with the first week on the schedule with the trio of nutes.

Took me a sec to realize, not the topic creator. Let’s goto his topic.

Thanks for the info. I’ll add you to my grow journal, @raustin is already watching. I’m still waiting for the seeds to pop now so feeding is a long way off. Just trying to get good advice whenever I see something in a post that I might need to remember later.
Thanks :+1:

Sorry for hijacking your thread @Randy1966
