Ok , theres just some things you can only learn by firsthand experience. This is my first “tent grow” and id like to ask for your experience here. Im using a 48x48x80 zazzy tent with a 225watt led and 6" carbon vent system. All of my plants are in 10 gal. Fabric pots .and i should mention they are all photo. No autos (yes , mistakes were made) these plants will be 9 wks old tomorrow. According to info provided , flowering should start (near) next week. In the tent theres #1 silver surfer #2 glookies and #3 sugar fruit . Outside are more of the same in different quantities. My questions are first , do the plants in the tent look ontrack to flower soon (im running out of room they are nearing 48 inches tall) 2nd …should i pull one out to create more room. 3rd …the outside plants , since i cant control light , will it stay in vegatative state until sept? Or will they flower with the tent plants and last but not least , is there anything i should be doing at their age other than weekly feeding and watering…i feel like im forgetting something.
I cannot speak for anything about indoors but outdoors you’ll notice flowering around the summer solstice I’m in the northeast and the 21st of June last year was when I began noticing flower …indoors you have to change your light schedule to 12/12 so they flower …oops I said I wouldn’t speak for indoors …lol
They all look really great …I’m sorry I can’t help too much with the indoor grow …
I also meant to add the guide on when those plants should or shouldn’t do this or that is just a guide and also would need optimal conditions …and no matter how hard we try sometimes it’s not what they consider optimal conditions …for the most part around the forum I’ve read more people say it’s a week or two give or take behind what’s said
Indoor photo is flipped before you get too tall in veg. When is up to you. Figure 50%stretch and start when you think that is all you can afford. If they just go nuts…have 1 doing that…can top or supercrop"i just did" before flower to allow more veg. If want. Photo so you are in more control. Ill post a pic of 1 i let get away. Just flipped her so gonna be darn close. Will not flower on their own in a tent unless grown on 12/12.
You’re going to fill that tent up fast with all those. can u put couple outside? What kind of light? I would switch to 12/12 asap since they are tall already. Are you checking ph and ppm? Your girls look nice and healthy 8
I already have. Like i said , i do a lot of reading through here , and from other stories ive heard it can take a couple of weeks to make them start flowering by light exposure time , so given they are supposed to start sometime soon …i started last week with 12/12 and extra phosphates. Guess i should have mentioned that.
Ive already put 8 outside , and they’re growing nicely, with the exception of louisianas unwanted plant guests i deal with daily. Since we had a non existant winter last year …bugs are almost doubled this year. As you can see from the pics they took an awesome toll on my lower fan leaves. I havnt started checking ph and ppm yet . I ordered an apera that should be here tuesday. I wanted to have it before flowering. Bc thats where i see more problems.
I believe im going to have to , i dont want to. I just dont have a choice. I know they will need the remaining room for flowering …i just needed someone to tell me it was the right thing to do. Thank you.
