Hi, I’ve never pruned before but hooding to try and see how it goes. Is it too early to prune these
Way to early… prune right before flower and 3 weeks in.
Agree with @BigItch, and when you do essentially all you wanna do is clear out thin bottom branches and bud sites that don’t get much light. This pic shows pretty well. Another good tip is pruning and defoliating are different, pruning is removing growth nodes and branches, defoliating is plucking leaves. You’ll be defoliating a lot more than pruning probably, so it’s good to research the best times and ways to defoliate your plant too
There is no need to prune that plant. The plant needs every leaf it has to manufacture the sugars the plant needs to grow properly.
Being outside, very little pruning is necessary. Check out some LST (Low Stress Training) methods. Defoliating is only necessary outside if your plant is particularly bushy.
Looks good. Let her grow!
I usually top all my plants. Just kind of depends when I do it. But if you haven’t topped her and want her to grow more like a bush than like a tree. I would look into it. I top my autos and photos. Well I use to top my autos. I don’t grow them anymore. But that’s another story!
Auto or photoperiod?
