First time growing… first time LST…ing

From a cursory glance, how are they looking? I’m worried I didn’t give them enough bend, but I was also very ginger with them since this is my first grow.

Also, is it worth keeping that runt in the middle (ILGM Chocolope Fem)? I figure worst case I toss her, best case, keep her as a mother once she grow up some more? Curious to hear what you veteran growers think!

Definitely keep the runt, you’ve got the right idea keeping it in the center. You could rig up a booster seat if it needs it. My favorite smoke from my lemon kush run came from the runt. She was the sweetest of the bunch.

That being said, you got a little ways to go, it may surprise you and catch up. Make sure not to overwater, it may need a little less than the others.

Just keep bending them a little more everyday until you get them how you want. I wouldn’t have started lst ing them that small but other people do
Oh keep the little one it may end up being your best plant

That’s actually really good to know, I was going to wait some more, but I was also afraid I’d miss my window of opportunity. Makes me feel a lot better. To give some better context of their age, they all popped from seeds on January 28

How many nodes

Better to bend the plant higher up on the main stem than to lean it over at the root. Dont get me wrong it will still work to improve the amount of bud sites but it can affect the stability and the root zone.

Personally I would try and manipulate and bend that main to 90 degrees. That will help with canopy maintenance and the lower growth below the 90 will reach for the light. Kept spreading the sides out and tie them down with some soft ties :joy:

Adjusted them to give them a little more “bend” and a little less “lean”. Thanks for all the help everyone. I’ll continue to keep everyone posted.

Again, sorry about the blurples, but trying to focus more on the LST technique than anything else. In white light, the girls are looking a nice shade of green.

Best to tie that up that main stem to other side also so you don’t pull her out.

Will do! How often would you recommend adjusting which side is getting light?

Adjusted as recommended and been letting the ladies veg out. Doing my best to flatten and widen the canopies. From the looks of things, do you think I’ll be able to fill these girls out and flip to flower within a month?

Based on the most recent update, think we’re evening and filling out nicely? Showing potential?

Great call on the runt… nice and squat, almost completely caught up to her sisters!

@CatDadPower, they look great!

Things start happening more quickly when they get to this size - you might be only be looking at a couple more weeks. A rule of thumb I’ve heard and used for a Sea of Green style is to flip when the plants have filled the space, enough to where the leaves are touching.

Thank you for that info… so kinda like this?? These are my two tents at the moment. Did one more round of LST and defoliation last night to give all the bud sights good light. Woke up to a beautiful sea of new, lime green growth this morning after last nights watering.
