My seed popped a week ago. It’s looking good so far. I’m having problems with humidity. The humidifier I bought crapped out on me. I was thinking of using a aluminum tray with water? Is this ok?
A large bowl with a dish towel hanging out a few inches will increase humidity nicely. You may have to add another bowl depending on your hydrometer reading.

Why is it that controlling humidity. During dark period so difficult. Everything is great. Until lights. Go out?
At a week old, it is highly unlikely that you need a humidifier. If you use some kind of dome (2 L bottle) and keep only the inside of the dome misted, your plant will survive off of the cotyledons leaves for the first 2-3 weeks with no nutes.
After that, environmental changes can help achieve your desire conditions.

Contrary to what I just said, if you were using Jacks 321 nutes, you could feed 900 ppm’s from seedling to harvest.

While lights are on, the lights and heat from your drivers will burn off the humidity…

Any suggestions on how to lower at night. I guess get a dehumidifier rather than exhaust fan

Do you have a grow journal?
If you don’t, it might help if you can start a journal and fill out a support ticket.
Plenty of folks here with a ton of ideas.
But, it is important to know details of your grow in order to give a more informed answer.
I grow in water. So,if I have had issues and solve them, so can you!

And yes. This prob will be solved. Thank you for your response. I’ll try to keep journals on all grows from here out. Just figured it would be similar to first grow same seeds. Just doing one at a time

There are a lot of variables and without knowing what they are, it would be hard to make an educated guess. Feel free to tag folks if you ever need anything.

The jacks 321. Is that the part a part b and the epson salt? I looked it up on amazon and they had it like that, but i also found the part a in a 25lb bag and part b in a 25lb bag. Is that the right stuff? If so id rsther buy the big bags it was like 45 for part a and 50 for part b and i can buy epson salt anywhere

That is correct. A ton of folks around here use it including myself. It’s cheap, easy and takes all the guess work out. You mix the same amount from start to finish.
You’ll need a small digital scale that measures grams.

can i mix it up and leave it sitting or does whatever get mixed need to be used asap?

I’m sure it would be a good idea to use it within a day or two. As water evaporates, formula may change and may not be as consistent.
I’m sure some folks here have done it just not sure who.
