Hi all, great forum!
Doing autoflower hydro, and using ILGM’s Bergman fertilizers. 3 weeks into flower. I have burned it, nutrient deficiencied it, root rot at beginning of grow, PH too high (lots of ph down). Using highly filtered water with basically 0 ppm and changing reservoir and nutes weekly. I think I have it dialed in FINALLY! I have a 2x4 grow tent, bought a ppfd meter for lcd lights (about 700 ppfd at top of canopy). It is ventilated with passive air inflow and fan/filter outflow. PH, PPM and EC pens checking 2x/day to try to keep it from fluctuating much. From glancing at the plant, any comments? Some tip burn, so keeping ppm at about 750. Using 1 tsp of calmag per gallon, and 1 tsp of root protector/gallon.

Lol, thanks. I am retired and old too! This was a struggle for a rookie. I have tried to kill it until the last week or so.

it is a great hobby…and you get to consume your results…can it get any better than that???

For sure! The learning curve has been tough. If I were a momma it would seem to be like caring for a sick child…can be distressing at times. Yet when you think you have it dialed in, it is extremely rewarding as you probably know. Cheers

I tell all new growers stop stressing over every little non conformity…even when it is all dialed in you get some funny looking leaves…as long as the majority are not showing that issue it is not a problem

Hey, good looking girl you got there, wanted to give you a boost of encouragement here as I too am a new hydro 1st time grower here.
You read a lot about hydro being hard, but I think it’s just an adjustment. It’s a lot to learn upfront and with auto’s you need to be on your toes. But like you said once you get it dialed in its just a little easier each day. Hang in there.
What form of hydro system you got there if you don’t mind me asking? Looks like an aero garden. I started my 3 in an aero garden but quickly moved them out just because of the room they needed to grow. One big advantage of taking them out of the areo garden I learned was the air stones. I too had some root rot issues but after getting some root guard and new grow medium they bounced back pretty good. Still having some issues but fingers crossed we make it.
Is this for 1 plant? I also learned most areo setups have a little hole you can put a tube in so you can put your own air stone and line in the reservoir.
