First time grow (blue dream autos) looking for advice

Maybe what kinda DLI are they recieving now? Want between 14 and 20 DLI at this phase in growth.

Not gonna lie have no idea what that is lol. All I can tell you it is a vivosun vs1000 (100 watt) at like 20” away from it at 75% power. Been giving it 4oz of water in a ring about every 3 days and it’s domed.

Could it be a little too close? It was just starting to get leggy and stretch. Had a long skinny stem and I was just trying to prevent that cuz it kinda happened last time if you remember lol

Download photone to your smart phone and check out this thread.

Its lengthly thread but a very useful metric to utilize. Might be a little strong. Gimmie a sec to look up your light

Ok pulled this fro. The user manuel for your light.

I would either: keep it at 20 inches but drop wattage down to 50-55% or raise the light to 24 inches and keep it at 75%.

I do have that. Now that it’s going on two weeks old it should be ok if I drop it to 50%?

After I pull the cup I feel like that would be the time to turn the intensity up but keep it at 18-20 inches away from the top as it grows then eventually turn it up to full blast

DLI is daily light interval. It’s the measurement of how much light they’re are receiving on your light schedule. Download photon app.

Here’s a question, what is the optimal DLI at the different stages of growth? And this app says I need to tape a piece of paper around my front camera? That’s different lol

Just lay a strip of notebook paper over your front facing camera. Here’s a diagram I go by…

Got that from a growmie on here and it has worked greatly!

You wanna go off the bottom number if your not running any kind of co2 in your tent

Unfortunately I don’t have a setup for co2 would love that. And I just used that app and I can tell it’s going to be a very useful tool! According to the reading I got I was giving them too much light as it was over 20 at 75%. 50% and it’s between 14-16 so right in the pocket :+1:

I learned what I know from all of y’all on here. It’s to know enough that I can help someone. Growing has changed my life! Looking forward to following along throughout your grow. We’re all here to help one another be successful. Pick brains! No stupid question. If someone doesn’t know we will find someone who can! There’s no bullshit in this forum and I love it!

This really helps because it takes the guess work out of where to put the light and how intense which is what I was really trying to find. I’m the kind of person that needs like the most straightforward methods or explanations on stuff.

But after using it I can see that the leaves turned like that because of too much light. My only worry is that I have at least one more that’s a week and a half behind the big sprout so it will need different amounts of light and I only got one tent and it’s not that big for multiple lights or anything like that

Check into green beams horticulture lights. I got the 240 and it completely changed my grow. There won’t be too much of an issue with that I wouldn’t think. Your smaller
Plant DLI will be lower than your biggest plant due to the canopy being higher than the smaller one. Might just work itself out. When you test the DLI, make sure you put your phone even with the highest point of the plant to get the most accurate readings. Just move light as high as you can and adjust the knob. Just IMO on that. Just watch your heat from your driver if you have one of those. That way you’re not having to move up and down. Did that make sense?

Yes sounds good and that’s exactly the brand I was going to get. One of the guys earlier in this thread posted a link to one that’s better for my size tent. The one I got is too small, can really only cover like a 2x2 space I got a 4x4 tent
