Hey all, like a lot of other i have been reading on here, this is my very first grow. Dropped my Ak-Auto seed in its glass of water, got my soil into my pot, and see the PH is quite low. (4.2) I have not put ant water or anything to it yet. What should i do?

What pH is low? The water with the seed or the soil?
People on here say the soil pH meters are unreliable.

Well… it is a local product called BioALL by BIO365. It was recommended so i gave it a try.

It is a soil meeter. Everything else i check seems to be about right.

Those 3 in 1 probe type meters will get you in trouble. Recommend using pen type Ph and TDS meters.

Get a good Ph pen and TDS pen to measure what goes in and what comes out. It is the relationship between the in and out that can tell a lot about your plant health. This becomes important when it is time to start feeding. For the early part of veg, all you need is the water’s Ph to be right. Then when your PPM starts to drop in your runoff it is time to feed.

She sat in a shot glass, with bottle water, on a heat pad, for about 48 hours. Opened her eye this morning. I let her plump up for about 12 more hours today, and dropped her into he final 3 gal pot. Here we go!

Took about 4 days for her to pop her lil head out, but there she is. I did place the seed in the hole with the root pointing up. I liked the idea of the plant flipping and leaving the shell in the soil. Im thinking that took her a little more time. And yer telling me this is only week 1? I’m hooked.

Your medium looks pretty wet. They should not need water for a few days at least.
