First plant, buds kind of small

I’d say you’re pretty good there. You don’t want to influence very much stress once flowering begins, you want them putting all their energy to bud development. You should start to see them fatten up shortly. Just be patient, you would be surprised at how much they will swell in just the last 2 weeks.

That is exactly what I was talking about. And when they start pointing north again and filling in the foliage, you can bend them a little more.

Super-cropping does that, but by “breaking” (gently maneuvering) the stem, you also stunt the growth by a week or so, prolonging flowering and prompting new bud growth.

With any luck you will get to the point you need a cage or central stake to tie each branch to, because the weight of the colas is dragging them down to the pot rim.

Just thought I’d post an update on this plant. I ended up harvesting her about 22 days after the pics above were taken, and got over 1 oz. of really good smoke - YAY!
