Brown stained roots are ok, only worry of it slimy like snot.
I’m just curious if you guys would see if these girls can pull through or not. They’re growing pretty well but there’s some very apparent damage going on:

The last one looks like complete garbage, I’m just really seeing how far it goes at this point. Any thoughts?
Plants don’t look bad, I’ve had a couple of plants start like that last picture and some did well while others didn’t lol. You just don’t know until flower sometimes how they are gonna do. You may have subjected them to out of range PH for an hour or two to cause it or it’s simply genetics.
I don’t think your plants are lost cause. Stick with basics and go from there. Are you monitoring water temps? I feel like someone asked, but I didn’t see with quick skim
I’m pretty sure that it’s a soil or coco grow…?
Hydrotone ontop always throw some people for a loop…
Looks like hes growing in cloth pots ???
I think it’s one gallon pots filled with clay pebbles. I have done a grow like this (twice) in my ebb and flow tray.
Chances are any light brown staining on the roots will be from clay pebble dust or nutrients.
Based on the pictures, all these plants are salvageable IMHO. The last one isn’t getting fed properly (probably not enough roots finding water/food). The first pics show plants in recovery that have found their food source, IMHO.
First time grower, Running a active aqua 4’x6’ ebb flood and drain table, sitting on original “west coast growers” stands. 60 plants in 60 active aqua 7"x7"square pots, clay pebbles. 2, 1,000 watt replacement rapid led chilled 4x4 fixtures, 1 exotic board and 1 Emerson board on reach fixture. Hoping they won’t be too crowded once I go 12/12 this week. Will Def be doing a lot of maintenance on lollipopping, air flow, etc… Already topped and fimmed, not low stressing this first time around. Sometimes I have no clue on what I’m doing. Wish me luck. Any guidance will be highly appreciated.
If all goes as planned, going for 300 plants in this 20"x15" room
Following the same model?
Yes, 5 trays of 60 plants
Algae , will be your biggest issue in this adventure …
Been there done that…
If you can keep the light out of the trays , you might stand a chance for a full flower run…
No problems with that as of yet. Not much light gets through to the water. Thank you tho!
