A lil branch from the LSD. I think I’m gonna end up with quite a bit from that plant. You can see the difference in the amount of frost on the gelato. There’s a lil gelato nug in the middle. The gelato bud is actually a darker color. It just looks white cause it’s absolutely covered in trichomes.

Crazy how much I ended up getting… only 4 weeks from seed to flower. With the gdp I ended up with about 5 oz. And that’s good flower. I didn’t even weigh the little bottom stuff, I kept it with the trim and will collect some kief then cook the rest. I cant get a good pic of the gelato…for some reason. but in person the stuff is almost white with trichome coverage. The LSD is a VERY unique strain. I guess its from mazar and skunk, i knew it was skunk the second i smelled it, i had to look it up tho to see what it was crossed with. It has a very unique smell and high. It like a body high with a touch of head high. The gelato just gets you blown. Im very happy with this. Cant wait til next harvest, with everything i learned. I coulda ended up with twice this weight easy by just vegging a couple weeks longer…smh So much learned. Very excited for new grow. Speaking of the next grow, if you wanna follow.

Hows the drying and curing going? I screwed mine up i believe, i had it jarred up after like 5 days, but it was wet still, like it would take a few hits in the vape before it would even smoke. So i left it out over night again and now its like dry dry…damnitt, i put it back in the jars with the humidity packs tho. Idk if its better to jar and cure without the packs, and then put em in the jar after for storage. or if you use the pacdks from the beginning. For example, in the gelato jar currently its at 49% rh with a 58% pack in there…Im sure it will balance out eventually but I think I let it get too dry. The ones with the 62% packs are about the same, im sure those will even out eventually too.

So basically, do you use the packs from the first time you jar? Or do you only introduce the packs after the drying/curing burping of the jar thing. My thinking was that the humidity packs were keeping the bud from drying the rest of the way. So maybe i just jarred it too early? Or will the packs absorb the excess moisture in the bud? Still allowing it to dry a tiny bit more in the jar with the pack?

The packs will absorb some moisture but will reach their limit and then you’ll be screwed. Highly suggest to dry a little bit more and then re-jar.

Ok, thats exactly what i did, I think i just dried a little too much when i un jarred everything the second time. But the packs should be able to balance it back out right? as long as i didnt WAY over do it?

I haven’t used my humidity packs yet. I’m opening the jars once a day now for like 20-30 min. If your rh is low add a cannabis leaf or two to bring it back up. my jars are consistently staying around 60-63

Ok, i think i should have done it that way…I was just paranoid of ruining the bud with mold, id rather have dry ass weed then no weed ya know? So next time I will do it the way you did this time i think. It makes more sense to me now after trying it the other way. once everything is dried and been jarred and burped for a week, THEN ill add the packs.

Just use the packs no? When it starts getting to that point where its getting dry, THATS when i think you should add the packs. It makes more sense to me that way anyways. So since your super close to where you wanna be, your bud is now dry, adding a pack will keep it at that point now is my understanding. At least for that jar. But i already screwed up once so who knows.

I’ve just read that the packs take away the flavor. That’s why I’ve been hesitant to use them

Say what?? Who told you that? Look up boveda challenge. I would have to say that is an inaccurate statement. Their whole pitch is it makes your bud taste and smell better when storing it. Or rather it prevents it from tasting or smelling bad.
I’ve read it multiple times here on the forum. Just search boveda packs and taste

Idk, the boveda challenege they send you 2 jars and a pack. you put bud in both jars, the pack in only one jar. Wait a week and then compare. 100% of the time the jar with the boveda pack wins. Idk why they would tell people to compare if it made it worse. I still havent got mine. But the other ones im using seem fine.

Just now getting the tent set back up. She had a thorough cleaning. I can’t remember which knob to adjust to lower my light. @BigHuff2316 do you remember which one it is? The vo or io?
