First grow indoors

I was wondering if this is normal in a plant

I’ll let the more experienced people fine tune but that stretch is caused by your light being too far away. Welcome to I❤️GM !!

Welcome to ILGM. I believe @ReconBravo is right on with your light.

I was talking about how the leaves point down wards

Yes, Light is too far. What are you using for lighting right now. How far away is it?
This plant is not lost, it can do just fine if lighting is addressed and transplanted deeper in soil soon.

My seedlings reach that far at times. Concur on the lights being too far away. The plant is stretching for the light.

I usually just bury it up to the little round leaves on its first transplant.

BTW, welcome @jayhall3467 to ILGM grow forum. Lots of good people here with great skills.

My light is only 4 inches from the cup top. Allowing her to focus on leaves instead of too much stretching and then after transplant I will move the light further away to veg and stretch them a bit. This is a banana kush 2 weeks old.

I’m using full spectrum lights red and blue lights, I’m going to move the lights closer to my plants

I use the same for my seedlings.

How far are your lights currently? Those who put their lamps only a couple of inches away are probably using CFLs. If you are using a full spectrum burple, then heat will be a concern and you won’t want to get it so close that you raise the temp over 80F at the plant.

I moved my light’s to about 6" away from my plant

What model light is it?
CFL bulbs are ok that close, but most LED grow light need to be 16 to 24 or sometimes even farther.
Knowing the model of the lamp will help us get the right distance.

I was just about to mention that. I check on them daily to make sure they aren’t burning up, and try to keep the light six inches from the canopy. My seedlings light is small and only big enough for a 2×2 space. Has a cooling fan built in with another blowing on the plants, and I keep the room at 70, under the lights stays around 75-79.

I think it was 30"away

Don’t overdo the move, mate. If you can feel the heat from the light on the back of your hand at the plant’s height, then it is too close.

Many people with lights like that go with 18 inches.

Try it at 20" and see. I think 6" is going to burn it.

This is one of my current seedlings with the LED 18" away.
