Fertilizer question

A question from a fellow grower:

Can I just make use of any fertilizer with a higher nitrogen in the veg stage and then more of Phosphorus in flowering stage …

The short answer is not really.

It would be best to use something for tomatoes, if you are going to use something easily available anywhere. There are tomato fertilizers that do have a “veg” and a “bloom” formula and you could use those in the same grow phases for cannabis with really good results.

Good advice. If you cannot or will not buy commercial nutrients. Tomato formula is probably best. Other than that; I would recommend a balanced formula over one that has vastly different N-P-K ratios.

One final thing. You want more Potassium in flower, then you do Phosphorous. OK? Peace
